KHAGARIA: Khagaria and Mansi stations of the district under the Sonepur division of the East Central Railway (ECR) will be developed with the provision of high-level amenities under the 'Amrit Bharat Station Scheme' of the Union railway ministry.
According to the railway sources, Khagaria station would get a facelift with an estimated cost of Rs 34 crore while a sum of Rs 24.8 crore would be spent on all-round development of Mansi station.

Narendra Modi is likely to launch the various development schemes through remote simultaneously at a number of stations under the Sonepur, Danapur and
Dhanbad divisions on August 6.
All the railway stations selected under the scheme would be developed, beautified and modernised as per the guidelines of the scheme.
As per the master plan, provision of cafeteria, modernisation of railway platforms, waiting room, better lightning and parking facilities in the circulating area, free Wi-Fi, better civic amenities, including proper drinking water and toilet facilities, widening of foot over bridge, escalators and modernisation of goods rake points would be developed.
